St. Paul’s School, Brisbane

St Paul’s is a co-educational private school at Bald Hills in Brisbane, Queensland. The school was opened in 1960. Today, the school has over 1,300 students.197 St Paul’s does not have boarding facilities. St Paul’s is operated by the Anglican Church of Australia and is owned by the Corporation of the Synod of the Diocese of Brisbane.

During the Royal Commission into Institutional Responses to Child Sexual Abuse, St. Paul’s School  was given special attention due to the numerous allegations the school had received over child sexual abuse. This was in particular to the offences committed by two serial offenders who were employed at the school  – Mr Kevin Lynch (school counsellor) and Mr Gregory Knight (music teacher). These two perpetrators were subsequently charged, and in Gregory Knight’s case, sentenced to jail in the Northern Territory.
