Fr James Fletcher
Fr James Patrick Fletcher (also known as Fr Jim and Fr Fletcher) is an ordained priest that served the Catholic Diocese of Maitland. He was round guilty of offences of child sexual abuse, and died in 2006 in jail.
Fr Jim Fletcher had been the preiest in charge at
St John’s Cathedral, Maitland in around 1978.

Abuses occurred in his Presbytery (Parish house in ) 1986 and 987
He was also the master of Ceremonies for the Bishop, Bishop Leo Clarke of the Maitland-Newcastle diocese.
Complainants of sexual abuse by Fr Jim included altar boys who described “grooming” behaviour by Fr Jim Fletcher.
Reported knowledge by Philip Wilson whom he lived with while they were serving the Maitland-Newcastle Diocese. Philip Wilson recently became the Archbishop of Adelaide,
