Fr John Denham

Fr John Sidney Denham (Born 8 September 1942 was an ordained priest serving in the Catholic Diocese of Newcastle-Maitland.  

He commenced his service to the Diocese in 1960s as a trainee priest, and was ordained in 1973. 

Fr Denham worked at St Pius X College, Adamstown, Newcastle in 1973 (also known as St Pius X Catholic High School in Adamstown, Newcastle.  He was one of the 6 teaching and live in priest on premises.  He taught at the school between 1973 to 1980.  Reports by a parent of a student at the school were made in 1979 to the school administration, and he was then transferred to work as an assist priest in the Charlestown parish, and later in 1981, to the Our Lady of Rosary parish in Taree. 

Reports of sexual abuse include boys that were students at that the schools he worked in and altar boys who served in the parishes he was asppointed to.

·         Our Lady of the Rosary Parish, Taree 1981 – 1985
