Marist College Eastwood

Marist College Eastwood is an independent Roman Catholic single-sex secondary day school for boy for Years 7 to 12, located in Eastwood, Sydney. In the 1960s the school was known as Marist Brothers' High School, Eastwood, and on 2 April 1993 the name of the school was changed to Marist College Eastwood.

The College has also been effected by its share of allegations of child sexual abuse by former brothers at the school. In 2016 the Provincial for the Marist Brothers at the time, told the Royal Commission into Institutional Responses to Child Sexual Abuse that he was concerned about the widespread inappropriate behaviour committed by many of its members within the Order. Marist College Eastwood has been involved in cases of child sexual abuse occurring in the 1990s in relation to former principal Brother Patrick Butler, and former religious studies teacher Phillip Hardy. In regards to Phillip Hardy, the perpetrator was sentenced to 11 years jail in 1995.
