Brother Francis Hesford

Brother Francis Richard Hesford (known as Brother Edmund) was a former member Marist Brothers who was born on 1 February 1914 and died 15 December 2002. Records indicate that Brother Edmund taught/served at the following schools:

In 1997, Brother Edmund plead guilty in the Melbourne Magistrates Court to charges in relation to the sexual abuse of two girls aged 9 and 12 years old (both sisters) at Assumption College, Kilmore in 1970. The abuse is said to have occurred at the School’s swimming pool during school holidays. Brother Edmund was sentenced to a 12-month good behaviour bond.
