Brother Roger King

Brother Roger Robert King is a Christian Brother who taught Year 12 physics and mathematics and who lived at the all-boys Catholic School St Patrick’s College, Strathfield in Sydney. His position at St Patrick’s was terminated and then began work as a lecturer at a tertiary institution before retiring. In May 2017, Brother Roger King (then aged 79 years old) was found guilty in the NSW District Court, Sydney of a number of sexual offences committed against boys at the School in the 1970s and 1980s. He was sentenced to two and a half years with parole set at 18 months.

Roger King is one of many Christian Brothers who have been charged and sentenced for offences dealing with child sexual abuse at St Patrick’s College. Other convicted perpetrators at the school include Brother Michael Evans and Brother Desmond Eric (“Neil”) Richards.
