Br Majella Fitzpatrick

Marist Brother, Lawrence Fitzpatrick, known as Brother “Majella” Ftizpatrick, born on 18 September 1927 has reported to have been charged and convicted of 38 counts of sexual abuse, and accused of more than 90 charges of indecent assault. 

Br Majella worked at a number of Marist Brothers schools, including the Marist Brother run boys-only boarding school St Patrick’s College, Sale in eastern Victoria.  The school is now known as Catholic College Sale after it merged with a Our Lady of Sion College in 1977. 

The SANO Taskforce of Victoria Police investigated the complaints of sexual abuse by former students of St Patrick’s College, Sale in 2014, and

Br Majella was also the head of primary school of Marcellin College, Melbourne in 1979 to 1980.
